University Mall Theatres is the closest cinema to George Mason University, and possibly the cheapest movie-watching location in Fairfax. Tickets are $4 for general admission, $3 with a GMU ID, and all movies on Tuesdays are $2. Showtimes are from 10 a.m. – 12 a.m., and movies play on one of three screens. If you don’t like to be around lots of children, don’t go on Tuesday nights. Families tend to take advantage of the $2 deal, thus increasing the chance of sitting next to a crying baby. However, if children don’t bother you, the $2 deal is just too good to pass up.
